1. The service
EduTrust Connect is a marketplace connecting families with independent tutors. Tutors are not employees of EduTrust; they contract directly with parents through the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Parents may book lessons on behalf of their children. Tutors must pass identity verification, qualification checks, and our teaching assessment before going live.
3. Bookings & payments
- Parents pay upfront in NGN or USD; funds are held in escrow until the lesson is completed.
- EduTrust takes a transparent platform fee disclosed at checkout. The tutor receives the remainder.
- Recurring subscriptions auto-renew weekly or monthly until cancelled.
4. Cancellations & refunds
Cancellation, no-show and refund rules are governed by our Cancellation Policy and Refund & Payout Policy.
5. Conduct
You agree not to: arrange off-platform payments to bypass fees, harass or discriminate against other users, share child personal data publicly, or misrepresent qualifications. Violations may result in suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts.
6. Content
You retain ownership of content you post (messages, homework, reports). You grant EduTrust a worldwide licence to host and display it for the purpose of running the service.
7. AI features
We use AI to match tutors, summarise lessons, grade homework and generate progress reports. AI output is a useful aid but is not a substitute for professional educational advice. Always review AI-generated content with your tutor.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduTrust's total liability for any claim is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We don't exclude liability for fraud, gross negligence or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or our Safety & Moderation rules.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of London, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country.
